Board certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Candace Haddock joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric surgeon in February 2019.

Dr. Haddock comes to Valley Children’s from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, where she practiced as a pediatric surgery fellow. Dr. Haddock also completed her residency in general surgery at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Haddock brings to Valley Children’s broad experience in teaching and research, having been published in peer reviewed publications such as the Journal of Pediatric Surgery. She has also presented her research at various industry conventions, giving podium presentations detailing her research on omphalocele and gastroschisis.

After receiving her medical degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Dr. Haddock completed additional specialized training and was recognized as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. She then went on to complete a board certification in general surgery from the American Board of Surgery in Philadelphia.

In her free time, Dr. Haddock enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and exercising outdoors.
