Dr. Damnhein Nguyen, Class of 2026

Hometown: Huntington Beach, CA

Medical School: Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine, California

Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
I chose to do my residency at Valley Children's because of how dedicated the program is to growing their residents into competent and kind physicians. Being from California, it has always been a goal to work in my home state and I am so honored to be able to continue my training here.

Hobbies: My favorite thing to do is to travel. I love experiencing new things, spending time with friends and family, and rooting for the Lakers!

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments: While in medical school, I was in a project that involved exploring the benefits of osteopathic manipulative treatment with children diagnosed with ASD. I also worked on a project that explored how studying art helped medical students become more culturally and gender competent. I have always had a strong interest in global health due to my Vietnamese heritage and see myself continuing to participate in advocating for better healthcare for minority groups as a resident physician.

Care Philosophy: I treat my patients and their families with the utmost respect and see them as the most integral part of the care team.
