The Willson Heart Center at Valley Children's provides the highest level of cardiac care in Central California – all in a family-centered environment. Our team of cardiac specialists offers advanced technology and state-of-the-art care for congenital cardiovascular disease and pediatric-acquired cardiovascular disease. Our Cardiothoracic Surgery Program, whose surgeons are from Stanford University School of Medicine, is part of one of the largest pediatric cardiothoracic surgical programs in North America.

Valley Children’s is one of the largest pediatric healthcare networks in the nation. The Willson Heart Center provides services at our main children’s hospital in Madera and various locations throughout the Valley, ensuring convenient access to all pediatric specialists. Madison's Story

Months before twins Madison and Makenzie were born, an ultrasound revealed that one sister had Ebstein’s anomaly, a rare, life-threatening congenital heart defect that can cause blood to leak through valves. After they were born, Madison spent weeks in Valley Children’s Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), then later underwent open-heart surgery to repair the hole in her heart.
